Nose and Tail uplift

• The Whatever uses a Medium Nose Sidebase Uplift. The gradual side base uplift in the nose determines how the board will behave on snow. Most affected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.
• The Whatever uses a Medium Tail Sidebase Uplift. The gradual side base uplift in the tail determines how the board will behave on snow. Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of triple base technology making these boards even more versatile than other boards.

3BT™ Triple Base Technology 3D Shape

Combining the responsiveness of traditional tip to tail camber with the dynamic shaping properties of Triple Base Technology and the performance boosting sidekick features makes for a 3D snowboarding experience like no other.

Camber profile

Bataleon’s Whatever has a medium camber profile. Camper profiles are defined from low to high. Higher camber makes for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail. Higher is not always better.

• 3BT™ (Triple Base Technology)

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point Bataleon fine-tunes each element according to the boards desired writing style.

• Sidekick™

SideKick™ builds on the concept of TripleBase by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest point of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull boosting float in deep snow and slicing through the crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

• Supertubes™

Super tubes are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforced the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location Bataleon can fine-tune the boards performance further.

Construction

• Carbon Fiber Glassing- BiAx Lamination: A traditional, two way weave that is light, strong and playful. It keeps the board snappy without adding torsional stiffness, which is great for getting creative.
• Wood core– Light Core: 50/50 Paulownia and Popular wood creates a balanced core that’s lively yet strong.
• Base- HyperGlide S:  Bataleon’s standard sintered base that’s durable and fast- and even faster when you keep it waxed.
• Sidewalls- Flex Walls:  Urethane Poured side walls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. With superior impact resistance, they ensure your snowboard performs at its peak season after season
• Inserts- 28 Inserts:  A-grade German stainless steel inserts make sure you are locked into your board. These high-quality inserts can take years of binding stance switches.
• Inserts- +2 Backseat Inserts:  Backseat inserts are a set of extra inserts 4cm behind the bottom inserts. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back so you can keep floating on those deep power days. By shifting your weight more back on the board the nose stays up in the powder and the pressure on your back leg is reduced.
• Layup & Laminate- Carbon stringers:  Tried and tested carbon layups deployed in different areas of the board to fine-tune the feel of each Bataleon model.
• Tech- D.S.T. Super Tubes:  DualSuper Tubes a Super Tube on either side of the board enhances pop and gives the camber more snap.
• Base Graphic- Flip Flop Base: Die-cut bases are like a jigsaw. Flip-flop minimize waste by using two or more color options for each piece. That means more unique graphics and less environmental harm.
